The Wedding between the World’s Biggest Search Engine and the Home of Data Science

After the recent celebration of Open Data Day (March 4, 2017), came a news that moved the Australian market.  Imagine a wedding between the world’s biggest search engine and the home of data science, what will you have?  A statistician’s heaven!

Last March 9, Google announced it’s acquisition of our homegrown data science platform, Kaggle.   While the terms of the transaction was not disclosed, Kaggle founder, Anthony Goldbloom and the shareholders were happy with the outcome, as it allowed their data sets access to powerful infrastructure,   scalable training and deployment services.
