OS X Lion – Part 1 – something good – restarting

OS X Lion is Apple’s new operating system. I was hesitant to upgrade, as it seemed it might be like swapping to an experience similar to an iPhone or iPad, which I wasn’t entirely keen on given it might simplify everything and take away some power features.

But earlier this week I took the plunge, and everything seems to be working well so far. And, it’s much better than I thought it would be.

One of the issues with being a power user, is I find things start to go downhill after awhile, and a restart is necessary. But when you have 100 things open, in the middle of a work day, closing everything down and restarting is a major inconvenience.

But with the mighty Lion, it actually lets you restart without changing a thing:

Now, restarting doesn’t mean a major inconvenience, because you can start out where you left off.
