It goes without saying that landing pages are critical to the success of your online store. After all, these are where you appeal to your customers to purchase. Landing pages are where your online ads or email campaigns will lead to, thus it’s important that these are optimized for conversion. Regardless of whether your customers are using desktop or mobile, the following five elements are essential on any landing page.
Logo
This is branding 101. Make sure that your logo is present on every landing page because aside from reinforcing your brand, this avoids the confusion that could be brought about by the lack of it. Doing so benefits both you and the consumer.
Product and Advertisement Alignment
The product you have on the ad that a user clicked should also be the one to appear on the landing page. Yes, not all digital campaigns allow images, but make sure to do this for those that do. The details have to be the same as well: price, discount, description, etc. These two not being aligned may result into your customers not trusting your site.
Call to Action
Never forget this. Without it, the landing page would be the end of a user’s journey—there won’t be any purchases made.
Trust Signals
Before customers take the plunge and make a purchase from your online store, they’d first look for signs that they can indeed trust your site. These can come in various forms—security seals, user reviews/testimonies, partner companies, or even press releases. Make sure that any of these are visible on your landing page so that they’d fell secure and buy something from you.
A Short Form
Ask for your customers’ info. They can fill up a short form within the landing page for this. Compel them to give you their e-mail addresses whenever you’re running promos or offering price cuts. This way, you’ll still have a return on investment on the discounts or freebies that you’re giving away. It’s a simple means to keep track of your customers and allows you to inform them should you have new offers or whatnot.
To sum up, your landing pages should be compelling to your customers and make them feel that they can trust you. You don’t have to worry a lot about conversions if you could accomplish those.
